Lady Florence cruises the Rivers Alde and Ore for 3½ hours during which lunch or dinner is served. Your meal is freshly prepared on board while you cruise using local produce from Orford's famous butcher and two smokehouses.

From Orford we cruise upriver past Aldeburgh to within sight of Iken and Snape. We turn where there are large country houses, with lawns sloping down to the water's edge. We return past Havergate Island and the entire length of Orford Ness, turning at Shingle Street, where the river enters the North Sea amidst rolling surf, racing tides and barren shingle banks - a scene of wilderness and desolation. A fully stocked bar is available and there is an informative commentary throughout.

The cruise operates all year round, regardless of weather and tides, taking just 12 passengers. The Lunch cruise is from 12noon to 3.30pm. Dinner cruises are on summer evenings from April to August usually from 4pm to 7.30pm but times can change dependent upon sunset. Main courses are from £7.45, other courses from £3.45. Minimum main course at least will be charged for. There is a choice of five or six starters and main courses, and you could decide to have up to five courses.

The 3½ hour lunch or dinner cruise itself is £12.50 per person for most of the year. For Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays throughout the year, a further £2.50 supplement is payable per person, and throughout May, June, July, August and September,
there is a further £2.50 supplement per person. Whole boat charters for 11 or 12 are £150, £180 or £210 depending on which supplements apply. For whole boat charters for less than 12 persons an extra £20 per person less than 12 is payable.

A 10% service charge is added to all prices, and only cash or cheques are accepted.
